PRAYING THROUGH THE WAIT
As we enter the month of March, I’m reminded of Isaiah 30:18 – “And therefore will the Lord
wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have
mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.”
Many people throughout scripture learned to wait on God and were blessed because of it.
Several examples…
Abraham waited for a promise to be fulfilled.
Jospeh waited for a purpose.
Esther waited for God’s plan.
Job waited through suffering and pain.
David waited for the appointed time.
Throughout life, I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of trusting in God and the impact He’s
had on my family and I. Even in uncertain times, when questions were left unanswered, when
we did not fully understand… we prayed and waited on God. In the end, God was right on time.
Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up
with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Everything happens for a reason! Waiting is not an assignment to the neglected or rejected.
Rather waiting is for God’s chosen ones so He can fulfil His will and purpose. Learn to wait and
trust in Him. God wants the best for you, to take you from victory to victory, to do more then
you think possible.
Keep praying… when you feel all alone, when there’s no end in sight, when questions fill your
mind. Remember, keep praying and waiting, “all things work together for the good to them
that love God.” It’s His way, His will, and in His time.
